Key Responsibilities:
The role carries the responsibility of managing business operations for a targeted geography & market segment.
Specifically the individual will be responsible for the following:
- Develop and implement the short and long-term strategic and operating plans for the region & the market segment
- Develop and implement a go-to-market strategy for Haier Biomedical portfolio for the region and the market segments including the appropriate mix between direct and distributer partners
- Develop and implement a key account strategy for Haier Biomedical's portfolios, working with the country commercial leader to drive incremental growth through value proposition and workflow selling solutions
- Identify and evaluate market opportunities for growth, engaging with cross-functional teams to drive business development opportunities for emerging technologies or new market segments
- Drive new product introduction (NPI) and deliver on incremental revenue targets for NPI
- Develop & manage a team through the deployment of robust sales processes including accurate forecast, opportunity pipeline management, utilization of customer relationship management (CRM) tools and marketing leads, thereby driving team productivity.
- Ensure a financially sound operation with solid corporate governance and compliance for the Haier Biomeical business. Plan and manage the business’s budget appropriately including revenue, margin and operating expenditure for the region.
- Partner with other members of the management team, globally and in the region, to formulate cross-functional strategies
- Monitor market intelligence including competition; macroeconomics and the regulatory environment
Build & lead a techno-commercial-savvy team; hire, motivate, and retain employees, to build a high performing sales & service organization
Follow data-based decision making, with strong analytical skills with timely reporting
Professional Experience/qualifications:
- A minimum of 8 years' experience ideally in the Life Science/Biotech industry, sales management, with a minimum of 3 years' experience handling high profile key accounts.
- Experience in both strategy & execution, with a proven performance track record including channel management, additional exposure in product management will also be desired.
- Experience in operating a business, or a demonstrable understanding of regional business practice in a MNC organization.
- Familiarity with India government policy and funding practices as well as an existing network of KOL and policy makers
- Strong executive presence with established leadership skills and should be adept at fostering long-term personal relationships, with strong interpersonal skills
Proficient in managing external stakeholders like distributors, CFA agents, liaison agents, third-party consultants and partners, preferably on a country-wide basis.
Experience on working with MS office & CRM tools like SFDC
Education:
The candidate must be having degree in Engineering/Bio Technology/Science. An MBA degree would be preferred.
